Scholarships
The Links Incorporated is an organization of more than 10,000 women worldwide bonded through friendship sharing their time and talent to educational, culture, and civic initiatives under the umbrella of its five organizational facets: services to youth, national trends and services, international trends and services, the arts and health and human services. Since 2017, every four years the Northern Indiana (IN) Chapter of the Links Incorporated, award scholarship opportunities to Northwest Indiana seniors based on scholastic ability, good character, and financial need.

Our Scholarship Process
The Northern Indiana (IN) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated awards scholarships as follows:
1st Place: $1,500.00
2nd Place: $1,000.00
3rd Place: $500.00
Initial qualification for award consideration requires:
Recipients to be a graduating senior attending a high need area school i.e.: East Chicago, Gary, Hammond, Lake Ridge, and/or River Forest
Have a 3.0 or above cumulative grade point average
Provide ACT and/or SAT scores
Submit an original 500-word essay: Topic TBA
Must provide proof of financial need
Plans to attend a four-year college or university
Displays traits of positive character
Displays moral integrity and credibility
Show interest in community service activities
Demonstrate interest in extra-curricular activities
Students interested in submitting applications, should contact their respective high school counselors in February of an awarding year to obtain an application and accompanying criteria reflected above. These awards are annually renewable for four consecutive years pending the following:
Maintenance of a 3.0 GPA or higher supported by fall and spring transcripts
Documentation of full-time status at your respective four-year college/university
