International Trends and Services

The Links, Incorporated mission is through its Global Trilogy of International Trends and Services, non-governmental organizations (NGO), the Signature Program, “ Education Across the Miles ” to expand the global platform for programs designed and developed to service the educational, health and cultural needs of people of African descent throughout the world.

The Northern Indiana Chapter of the Links International Trends Facet has provided programming to align with these goals for tangible services in our community and other countries. The goal is to provide measurable and sustainable service delivery methods, that reach women and their families.

Northern Indiana International Trends Facet Accomplishments:

  • Instructed cultural dance to elementary school children. They were taught West African dance, movement, and drumming. The goal was to instill pride and understanding of the African diaspora.
    Donated to the St. Boniface Hospital in Haiti focused on the prenatal care unit, which was featured on CBS This Morning.

  • We remain dedicated to education and have had “boots on the ground” in Ghana. Jazmine Williams mentored students at Happy Kids, an orphanage in the Volta Region. We donated for five children for the 2020 academic year.

  • Participated in a national giving initiative with the Hurricane Dorian Relief Program in the Bahamas.
    International Women’s Day, The Chicago cluster hosted a Global Health Equity health forum, with participation from all nine chapters. Our central area chair, Lizzie Scoburgh, was one of many distinguished members in attendance. The Northern Indiana Chapter is proud to have a presence in the transformational opportunity of expanding the global presence of The Links, Incorporated.
