EVENTS
The Northern Indiana Chapter of The Links, Incorporated has provided community service since 1958. The chapter supports educational, cultural, and financial support to enrich the lives of residents in Northwest Indiana. Annually, the chapter raises funds for college scholarships, mentoring and cultural enrichment programs. These funds also support the National and International Programs of The Links, Incorporated. We are known in the community for hosting The Kentucky Derby Fundraiser Party! In 2020, when the Covid-19 pandemic occurred, our focus shifted to providing economic assistance to agencies in Northwest Indiana. We were the first to host a major Virtual Day Fundraiser Party that netted $25,500. These proceeds were shared equally with The Sojourner Truth House, YWCA of Northwest Indiana, and The Food Bank of Northwest Indiana. We are truly thankful to our corporate partners, sponsors, friends, and family for your continued support towards helping us to transform our communities.

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) & the Black Community.
The Northern Indiana (IN) Chapter is a proud recipient of a 2021 Central Area (CA) Black K.A.R.E. Project grant. Our goal is to mobilize and raise awareness in the black community about CKD and its risks factors, complications, and treatment to reduce the risk of kidney failure and/or improve outcomes for people living with CKD. Stay tuned for updates regarding various programming throughout 2021-22.

The Kentucky Derby Party raises donations to support our scholarships and programming throughout the year. This year will be our 10th Kentucky annual Kentucky Derby Party! We are having a virtual party you don't want to miss! Each year this signature event raises donations to support our scholarships and programming throughout the year. DJ Vince Adams will be spinning the 1s and 2s. Comedian Damon Williams will also be joining us for a fun time. Get your tickets today!
Be sure to wear your finest "Derby Attire" and tune into our party with a purpose!
Proceeds benefit The Links Foundation, Incorporated.

Virtual Day Party
The chapter raised $25,500 during its Virtual Day Party held on May 24, 2020. The net proceeds were distributed to three charitable organizations within our service area.
On Saturday, July 11, 2020 the Northern Indiana Chapter of The Links, Inc. held check presentations at 3 Northwest Indiana Organizations. The Sojourner Truth House, YWCA of NWI & The Food Bank of NWI each received a COVID-19 Relief donation of $8500 from the Northern Indiana Chapter. Many organizations are unable to financially support themselves which presents a challenge to assist the community they serve. All three organizations believe in the mission of helping and serving those in need.
